Dear Therapy™
Come as You Are
Hold Yourself Dear
Rooted in community and care, our team of BIPOC and AAPI therapists offers multilingual support through identity, trauma, and life transitions.
Hold Yourself Dear,
You Deserve to Take
Up Space
At Dear Therapy™, we believe you are worthy of being fully seen, deeply heard, and gently supported, especially if you have ever felt invisible in traditional spaces. Rooted in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally-responsive approach, our work
honors the full complexity of your lived experience.
As BIPOC and AAPI mental health clinicians, we understand the quiet weight of navigating multiple identities, languages, and generations. Whether you are sorting through family expectations, healing generational wounds, or learning how to come home to yourself, we are here to walk with you.
Looking for an Asian therapist near you?
Need a Chinese-speaking mental health clinician?
Searching for mental health resources for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders?
Let’s start with a first conversation.
Your first appointment is a chance to meet, ask questions, and share what brings you here.
Together, we will explore whether this space feels like the right fit for you.
The Dear Therapy™ Approach
Holding space for all of who you are
Therapy at Dear Therapy™ is not about fixing what feels broken. It is about gently uncovering the stories that shaped you, making sense of your inner world, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be heard.
We practice with a relational, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive lens. This means we pay close attention to the systems you live in, the identities you hold, and the histories you carry.
You do not need to over-explain yourself here. If you have been longing for a space that speaks your language, both literally and emotionally, you are not alone.
We welcome:
Your queerness
Your neurodivergence
Your questions around faith and identity
Your cultural complexities
Your hopes for something more
Our work is not just about feeling better. It is about feeling more like yourself. Healing here is meant to honor where you come from and support where you are going.
This is your space to slow down, reflect, and rebuild. Together, we will work toward healing that feels deeply yours.

Our Process, What to Expect
Preparation
We begin by building trust. Your first few sessions will focus on creating a safe space, identifying your needs, and co-creating goals with your therapist. You’ll be equipped with tools and resources to help manage symptoms and begin your self-reflective journey.
Exploration
Together, we’ll explore your story. This includes your emotional experiences, family patterns, generational trauma, and cultural identity. Whether you’re unpacking grief, anxiety, or the pressures of being a model minority, we’ll move at your pace.
You’ll be invited to embrace your full self without judgment.
Integration
We’ll work toward clarity, balance, and meaningful transformation. This may look like setting boundaries with compassion, rediscovering joy, or reclaiming the parts of yourself that were once silenced.
This is where healing becomes sustainable, and change becomes embodied.
Let’s begin. Together, we’ll hold you dear.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Whether you’re looking for a compassionate Asian psychologist, a Chinese-speaking clinician who understands your cultural background, or mental health resources for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, we’re here to support you.
Resources and Blogs
We believe therapy is not just what happens in the room. It is also the learning, reflection, and conversations we carry with us.
