How I Can Support You

I aim to create a collaborative, client-oriented space that prioritizes you and your knowledge. As your therapist, I believe that you are the expert in your life and you already possess the strength and skills that will lead to an authentic life. I hope to be a companion in this party of your journey as you write our your own life story within our therapeutic space. As we journey together, I encourage you to actively participate and share feedback in constructing our therapeutic space so I can better support you.

My Approach

I take a critical and holistic approach to therapy, valuing mind, body, and spirit connectedness while also contextualizing how different cultural ideologies and systems influence the beliefs and values we hold about ourselves. Every thought, feeling, and idea that comes to mind matters. It is through giving them the space to process that reflections can be made and beliefs about should's turn into want's.

My approach is free-flowing as I encourage my clients to curate a space that works for them. I use different techniques drawing from therapeutic orientations such as CBT, motivational interview, and narrative therapy that are grounded in strength-based and humanistic values that prioritize client autonomy and empowerment.

About Me

As a Chinese immigrant woman with lived experiences of being marginalized or silenced, I understand the meaningfulness of having the space to just be. Informed by my several years of experience in research and clinical training with marginalized communities, I aim to acknowledge and celebrate experiences and identities that have been conventionally silenced or dismissed within my clinical work.
